that employers face everyday.
ABOUT OUR PRESENTER
Each seminar is hosted by Attorney Mark Vegh. He has
more than 16 years of experience as an employment and labor lawyer in California
and Oregon. He advises and represents employers on all aspects of
employment and labor law.
His areas of expertise are:
- Workplace Discrimination
- Harassment
- Wrongful Termination
- Family and Medical Leave (FMLA)
- Wage and Hour Issues
- Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Reduction-in-force requirements
- Labor relations and collective bargaining
- Hiring and Disciplinary issues
- Development of personnel policies and procedures
Mark lectures extensively on employment and labor law and has presented more
than 600 seminars and training sessions for employers in several states.
He is an adjunct professor in human resource management at Simpson University,
and previously was an adjunct professor teaching courses in law at Shasta
College. He has also authored several employment law publications and
articles.
Mark graduated from Oregon State University, and received his J.D. degree
from Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon.
He is admitted to practice law in California, Oregon and Washington, and is a
member of the California Bar Labor and Employment Law Section.
Mark has lived in Redding for the past 11 years. He especially enjoys
outdoor recreation in the area with his wife Susan, and their three sons. |
The Butte County One-Stop hosts yearly Labor Law Update seminars as well as
other seminars to address all aspects of employment and labor law.
